• 1 May 2019: Although Xcode isn't required as a whole the command line tools are; I should have noted this before but either way you simply have to run the following command: sudo xcode-select --install; after this my entry should compile simply by running `make'.
• 27 August 2018: Xcode isn't required under macOS (which I suggested in my remarks file that it is or might be).
